The IMusiK.ca ear training program requires QuickTime Player. You may need to install it.

Important Setup Note

The IMusiK.ca Ear Trainer uses QuickTime to play its notes. However, Quicktime will sometimes create short bursts of noise or static at the beginning of playback.

If this problem is happening, it can easily be fixed with the following steps:

  1. Open QuickTime Player
  2. Go to: Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences > Audio
  3. In the drop-down menu for "Music Synthesizer", choose "General MIDI"
You may need to restart your browser before it takes effect.
